Content Review is where you approve creator content before it goes live, or send it back with feedback. Creators upload drafts, your Fohr team reviews them first, and what reaches you has already had a pass.
This article is for brands whose campaigns Fohr runs. What you see here is a deliberately shorter version of the full workflow.
Before you start
Content Review has to be enabled on the campaign. Your Fohr team sets that up.
You will not see everything a creator submits, and that is intentional. Content sitting with Fohr for an initial review is hidden until it's ready for you. Your queue is what has already passed that check.
The stages you'll see
Five, and you'll usually only act on the first.
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Brand Review | Waiting on you. This is your queue |
| Brand Rejected | You sent it back. Your Fohr team is handling the revision with the creator |
| In Creator Edit | The creator is reworking it |
| Brand Approved | You've approved. Your Fohr team is finalising — see below |
| Approved | Fully approved. The creator has been told they can post |
So a piece of content sitting at Brand Approved is not stuck and is not waiting on you. If it needs to move faster, that's a conversation with your Fohr team rather than something to click.
Reviewing a piece of content
Click any card to open it.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Approve | Signs off. Moves to Brand Approved for your Fohr team to finalise |
| Return to Fohr | Sends it back with your feedback. The form takes notes on the media and the caption separately, so keep them apart — it makes the revision request much clearer |
Your feedback goes to your Fohr team, who work through it with the creator on your behalf. You are not messaging the creator directly.
Carousels and multi-asset posts
Where a submission has several frames, you can mark each one individually with Approve Frame or Reject Frame. Move between them with the arrows or the selector dots; approved frames show green, rejected red, and unreviewed grey.
Mark the frames before you send anything back. Returning a submission without marking any means nothing carries through to the next round, and the creator gets a revision request with no indication of which image was the problem.
Comments
Comments on a piece of content are how you and your Fohr team discuss it. Yours are shared with your Fohr team by default.
Creators do not see your comments here, and you do not see theirs. Anything that needs to reach the creator goes through your Fohr team, which is what Return to Fohr is for.
Common mistakes
| Mistake | What happens |
|---|---|
| Treating Brand Approved as unfinished business | It's done from your side. Your Fohr team finalises it from there |
| Returning content without marking frames | Nothing carries into the next round, so the creator is guessing at what to change |
| Putting media and caption notes in one box | The form separates them because the creator acts on them separately. Combined feedback tends to produce a partial fix |
| Waiting for content that never appears | You only see content once it has cleared your Fohr team's first pass. A quiet queue usually means it's still with them |
